As you may already be aware, September 19 to 27, 2015 is National Coaches Week dedicated to celebrating the tremendous positive impact coaches have on athletes and communities across Canada. To recognize coaches for the integral role they play the Edmonton Sport Council, of which the EDBA is a member, has partnered with Coach Alberta and Alberta Sport Development Centre – Capital Region to offer four free coach development workshops during Coaches Week.
Last season, the EDBA had paid for its members to attend two of these workshops (Nutrition Planning, Improving mental Skills) which are now offered free during Coaches Week. Whether you are a coach or player, I hope you can take advantage of these free workshops.
