King’s University Open Badminton Tournament November 5, 2017

The Kings University 5th Annual Open Doubles Badminton Tournament is being held on November 5th, 2017

Events:
Ladies’ Doubles
Men’s Doubles
Mixed Doubles

Fees:
$15.00 for first event
$10.00 for second event
Pay at the door

Shuttles: Nylon Mavis 300 shuttles will be provided and used throughout tournament.

Entries: Three matches per event contingent on number of entries. Entries will be limited to 32 entries per event. Entries will be accepted until 10:00 pm Friday, November 3, 2017.

Women’s Doubles 12:00 pm
Mixed Doubles 2:00 pm

A cafeteria is available in the university. Free parking is available in the front parking lot off 50th street.

2017 David Folinsbee Memorial Tournament

In memory of David Folinsbee who was a long-time promoter of badminton at the community and professional level, the Red Willow Badminton Club will be hosting a fun double’s only event on November 3rd and 4th.

Over the past many years, the EDBA had the pleasure to work with David and his wife, Jean, during hosting of various provincial and national badminton events. The David Folinsbee Memorial Tournament is a great opportunity for EDBA members to enjoy a fun tournament. Welcome to another new EDBA badminton season! Please find as follows information regarding the next EDBA meeting:

Location: Activity Room #4, Central Lions Senior Rec Centre, 11113 113 St, Edmonton

Attached are the proposed agenda for the meeting and draft minutes of the June 1, 2017 EDBA meeting. As noted previously, the September 5, 2017 meeting also serves as EDBA’s 2017/18 Annual General Meeting during which 2017/18 EDBA Officers will be elected as per EDBA Bylaws. If you are interested in running for any of the EDBA Officer positions or have any questions regarding helping out the EDBA Board in whatever capacity, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
