***** IMPORTANT UPDATE *****

In light of the recent announcement by Alberta Health, and growing widespread concerns with COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming tournament taking place the weekend of March 28-29th. While we know this news is disappointing to all of you, we believe this is the responsible route to take as the health and well-being of our badminton community is of utmost importance.

An email will be sent to all current registrants, and any registrants who have already paid will be issued a full refund in the coming days. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact tournament@edba.org, or for more general inquiries please contact info@edba.org.

Registration will be opening this weekend for the upcoming 2020 EDBA Open Badminton Tournament held on March 28 and 31, 2020 at W.P. Wagner School (6310 Wagner Road) in Edmonton.

Registration information:

• Players over 16 years of age (as of January 1, 2020) are welcome to register

Hello Everyone,

The 2020 EDBA Junior Open (U12, U14, U16, U18) will be held on Feb 15 & 16, 2020 at W. P. Wagner School Gymnasium (6310 Wagner Road, Edmonton).

Note:  Email address for e-transfer and registration are not complete until full payment is received.  Total cost is $15.00 for maximum of 3 Events (T-shirt included).

Deadline:  Entry Registration will be closed after receiving the first 100 paid and confirmed registration or Friday February 7, 2020.

Age category is based on the age of the child/youth on January 1, 2020.

To register for our tournament, please follow these directions:

1. If you have not signed up as a member in the Tournament Software, please first CREATE a username and password and create a profile for yourself.
2. After you completed All the fields and SAVE, you will then be prompt to the registration screen to proceed.

Payment Instructions

If you are paying by cheque, please write down the name(s) of the player(s) on the cheque and mail it to “PO Box 22565, Southbrook PO, Edmonton, AB T6W 0C3”.  In the meantime, please sign up for the tournament by following the above instructions.  Payment by cheque, registration is complete when you have received the payment confirmation email.

If you are paying by e-transfer, please send the registration fee to epay@edba.org and mention the player’s name in the “Message to Contact” section. The question is “What is your favorite sport?” and the answer is “badminton.” Once your e-transfer is made, our EDBA treasurer and tournament director will both automatically receive a notification email.

Entry into the Doubles Tournament, registration is not completed until full payment is received (yours and your partners’).
