EDBA Junior Training Workshop – January 12, 2019

EDBA is conducting a FREE Badminton lesson workshop for players ages 6 to 17 on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Central Lions Recreation Centre.

The workshop is open to anyone interested in trying out Badminton and/or want to try out a group lesson class. Players will take part in a group lesson conducted by National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) certified and trained coaches.

Session 1 Time:
1:00pm – 2:30pm (Beginner/Intermediate level*), Ages 6 to 12

Session 2 Time:
3:00pm – 5:00pm (Intermediate*/Advanced level), Ages 11 to 17

FREE

Registration:
Email us the player’s name, age, emergency contact and session number to: coaching@edba.org

Limited number of students per session, can only registered 1 session per child.
Accepted on first come first served basis.  Non-registrant only accepted at the door if space is available.
*intermediate level – player must be able to sustain a continuous rally for few minutes and understand the game rules.

Note:

Players must bring their own racquet and indoor non-marking court shoes.
Lesson are trained in a group environment by NCCP certified and trained coaches.

2018 EDBA Fall Junior Tournament – Dec. 15-16, 2018

Hello Everyone,

The 2018 EDBA Fall Junior Open Badminton Tournament is to be held on December 15 & 16, 2018 at W.P. Wagner School (6310 Wagner Road) in Edmonton.

Registration information:

  • U 11, U13, U15 and U17 for Boy’s Single, Girl’s Single, Boys’ Doubles, Girls’ Doubles and Mixed Doubles
  • $15 for a maximum of three events (one single, one double, one mixed double).
    • Players will also receive a free T-shirt.

Shirt sizes available: 1. Youth Medium / 2. Youth Large / 3. Adult Small / 4. Adult Medium / 5. Adult Large / 6. Adult Extra Large

  • Registration has started as of today (form can be downloaded below) Deadline for entry: 5:00 pm on November 23, 2018.
  • Entry is not completed until payment is made in full. Please make the cheque payable to EDBA and send it to:

FREE Badminton lesson for Juniors on Sunday, June 3

EDBA is conducting a FREE Badminton lesson workshop for players ages 9 to 17 on Sunday June, 03, 2018 at Queen Elizabeth High School.

The workshop is open to anyone interested in trying out Badminton or/and want to try out a group lesson class. Players and parents have the opportunity to find out more information about EDBA and the junior programs. Also, players will take part in a group lesson conducted by National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) trained coaches.
