Hello Everyone,
Our 2019 EDBA Junior Open Badminton Tournament is to be held on February 16 and 17, 2019 at W.P. Wagner School (6310 Wagner Road) in Edmonton. The tournament is now open for registration. The entry deadline is February 5, 2019. Based on our past EDBA tournament experience, we plan to limit the number of players to 100 so that we can run the tournament from 09:00 to 17:00 on both tournament days. Please send in your registration form and payment at your earliest convenience. Here is the registration information:

The registration fee is $15, with a maximum of three events in this tournament (i.e. one single, one mixed double, and one same gender double). If one of the partners is older, then the team will have to play up to the correct age event(s). The age category is based on January 1, 2019. There are two payment methods: personal cheque or e-transfer. Please follow the payment and registration instructions below.
If you are paying by cheque, please write down the name(s) of the player(s) on the cheque and mail it to “PO Box 22565, Southbrook PO, Edmonton, AB T6W 0C3”. In the meantime, please email tournament@edba.org the registration form and the photo of the cheque.
If you are paying by e-transfer, please send the registration fee to epay@edba.org and mention the player’s name in the note’s section. Our EDBA treasurer Felix Yuen will be the person depositing the money into an EDBA account. The question is “What is your favorite sport?” and the answer is “badminton.” In the meantime, please email tournament@edba.org the e-transfer payment information and the registration form in a single email.
The individual clubs are encouraged to consolidate their players’ information and identify the partners. If you need a partner, please write down “Partner Requested.” The registration form (with an example included) can be downloaded below:
