Dear EDBA Board and Representative Committee,
I hope you are all having a wonderful summer so far. As we welcome the start of another badminton season, please note that the first EDBA Meeting for 2016/17 will be on Thursday September 1, 2016 starting at 6:30 p.m. As per EDBA Bylaw, the September Meeting will also serve as the EDBA Annual General Meeting (AGM). Additional information regarding the Sept 1, 2016 meeting will be provided shortly once the details have been finalized.
All board positions are open for election at the Sep 1, 2016 AGM. I urge you to consider sitting as a EDBA Board member for 2016/17. In particular, any help you can extend in Secretary and Treasurer duties will be most appreciated. The EDBA has continued to grow and serve as Edmonton’s largest organized body for badminton. We are also the largest and most well run provincial badminton zone in Alberta. Our success doesn’t just happen by chance and EDBA’s accomplishments to date would not have been possible without the many hours of volunteer help put in by individuals who, like you, are dedicated to the sport of badminton. Every EDBA Club has enjoyed the benefits resulting from these volunteer work. I trust you will do your best to contribute in some part to this volunteer pool in helping manage the EDBA and ensure the organization’s success as it continues to grow. If you have any questions regarding volunteering for the EDBA in whatever capacity, please feel free to let me know.
