EDBA Adult Free Plays for June 2016

Sunday, June 5 — 12pm to 2pm
Saturday, June 11 — 2pm to 4pm

WP Wagner (6310 Wagner Rd NW, Edmonton, AB)

Description:
Open to adults (ages 18 and above) who are current members of an EDBA member club. There is no cost to attend. Please bring your own shuttles and wear non-marking, indoor court shoes.

Please sign in PRIOR to playing.

Matches are limited to two games after which the players must vacate their court and wait for their next turn to play. Games must follow the Rally Point System (21 points). Singles games are not permitted if there are others waiting for an available court.

EDBA Shuttle Sale (May 14-15, 2016)

The EDBA will be selling Yonex nylon shuttles at the upcoming EDBA Open (May 14-15) to EDBA members. Cost is $14 per tube of Mavis 300 or Mavis 350. Limit 2 tubes per person. Cash only. Please bring exact change if possible.

Buyer eligibility will be verified against club member lists submitted to the EDBA for the 2015-2016 season. Eligible EDBA clubs are listed under “Club Schedules” at http://edba.org/clubs/. Please note that this offer is not open to members of private clubs and non-voting clubs of the EDBA.

A table will be set up near the entrance to the gym at WP Wagner. The table will be open from 10am to 4pm on May 14 and 10am to to 2pm on May 15.

Please note: This is a one-off service offered to EDBA members for their convenience. The EDBA does not sell shuttles directly to EDBA members on a regular basis.

Adult Skill Improvement Workshop – May 8, 2016

The EDBA will be conducting a skill improvement workshop for adult players (over 18 years of age). The workshop is open to beginner and intermediate players. Coaching will be provided by qualified NCCP coaches.

Cost:
$10 (shuttles provided, payment will be collected at the workshop)

Notes:

  • Players must bring their own racquet and wear indoor, non-marking court shoes.
  • Protective eyewear is recommended.
